4 Questions & Answers for Investors

“If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.”
― Warren Buffett

Uncertainty is something that is reflected negatively in the stock market. Basically, people get scared and sell everything. With all that is going on now including election day being behind us, it is time to talk about the following:
-When to jump in and start investing
-What company to invest in
-How to invest

But first, there are a few preliminaries to cover.

So, let’s just to break it down…

  1. What is the stock market?
The stock market is an auction house similar to other market places that you may be familiar with. It is the place where people who are selling can meet up with people who are buying. Investing in the stock market is one of the best ways to build wealth. You could invest in a company that starts off small but then blows up or increases in value. Any idea who reaps the benefits of increase in value along with the company? That is right, you do!
  2. What is a share in the stock market?
A share in the stock market represents partial ownership of a company
  3. How do investors make money?
Investors make money because each share you buy represent a small ownership of the company you are investing in. Therefore, shareholders make money with the business when it is profitable. Another way to make money is from dividends. Many companies pay dividends to their shareholders so you can stock up on companies that pay dividends and maximize your return for those companies. Based on their earnings and how they’re performing, various companies spread the wealth by paying their shareholders a percentage.
  4. Why do stock prices change?
Stock prices change for various reasons. The stock price will rise if there are more buyers than sellers and it may fall because there are more sellers than buyers. It can also change if there is some news reported which involves the company – positive or negative. The stock price will also change upon a company reporting their earnings (either increasing or decreasing based on the numbers reported in comparison to what was anticipated).

You are going to get the best value for your buck right now when the stock prices are down and in the red. In this period of uncertainty (elections, COVID-19 cases on the rise, news of companies going bankrupt, to name a few), now is the time to invest. Don’t wait until you understand it fully because it might be too late. Jump on board right now and let’s get this ball rolling so we can come up! These prices will be dipping low for us to take advantage of. I hope you are ready to come up.
